Editorial Standards & Review Process

TP Report is built around contributions from people who use public restrooms. Our goal is to create a useful, growing record of real-world experiences, with room for as many independent reports and perspectives as possible.

How Submissions Are Processed

Submissions pass through an automated processing system with human oversight. The system helps organize incoming information, identify incomplete or inconsistent details, flag potential errors, and identify submissions that may contain inaccurate, misleading, fabricated, or bad-faith information. The goal is to support the overall accuracy, honesty, and integrity of the directory while preserving genuine independent experiences and encouraging as many reviews as possible for each bathroom.

The system also helps support the overall accuracy and integrity of the directory by identifying information that may be misleading, inconsistent, fabricated, or submitted in bad faith. Human oversight helps assess these flags and address potential problems while preserving the value of genuine, independent experiences and opinions.

Our review process focuses on the quality and organization of directory information, not on whether someone’s personal experience or opinion agrees with someone else’s.

Multiple reports about the same bathroom are welcome. Different people may have very different experiences, and those independent perspectives are an important part of making the ratings useful.

Weekly Directory Updates

The directory is batch updated once a week. This gives the processing system and editorial team time to organize incoming bathroom listings, reviews, and corrections before incorporating them into the public directory.

Submissions do not appear immediately. Please allow time for the next scheduled update.

Our Approach

We aim to maintain a directory that is useful, organized, and representative of real-world restroom experiences. We welcome corrections, additional reports, and differing opinions. The more people contribute, the more useful TP Report becomes.
